COVID-19

At present, Bradford Fencing Club is not meeting.

As guidelines develop we hope to be operational again, and in the background the Board are working very hard on ensuring that those guidelines from the Government and from our governing body British Fencing are met and exceeded in order to return to fencing safely.

Once we are able to fence again, we should adhere to the following club protocol: Download

Bradford Fencing Club

Welcome to the Bradford fencing club website. We meet on Tuesday evenings at Thornton Recreation Centre from 20.30 through to 21.30.

We offer fencing for foil, epee & sabre fencers and coaching from our BFA registered coaches and a fun friendly environment to enjoy the sport.

We provide all the necessary equipment and are a BFA affiliated club. You only need to bring your self.

We fence for fun and do not expect our members to compete but we will support any members that wish to compete at the many national open fencing tournaments throughout the year. There are also amateur tournaments for people that have been fencing for less than two years.

If you are interested in fencing, feel free to visit any of our 20.30 sessions without the need to pre-arrange. You can watch and chat to our members and coach but please be aware that you will not be able to take part in the fencing.

We also run beginners courses periodically for those that have never fenced before. These courses are over 10 sessions starting at 19:30 through to 20.30. Please check our beginners page for the start dates of the beginners courses.

For any welfare concerns please see the Committee page

Once you have completed a course for beginners and have decided that you will take up fencing regularly, it is a good idea to take up membership with British Fencing - For full benefits see the Competition page.

To enter a competition full membership with British Fencing is required.

Membership is for a calendar year, rolling on on the anniversary of joining (email alert) and is best organised online before you need it, but only just before, to get the best out of it.
